I am never fully satisfied with a textbook, but I’ve gotta give it to ‘Elementary Korean’ textbook, it’ really got some gems in it.
I was just flipping through it, and I remembered when I was first starting learning Korean one of the most confusing lessons in 'Korean Made Easy’ was location expressions.
책상 위에 - my way of thinking was: well if there’s a particle, and all other words marked with particles can change positions within a sentences, so should this one. Can 위에 책상 be correct?
I figured the answer on my own later, but it took a while of listening Koreans speak to see it never occurred in this order.

On the other hand 'Elementary Korean’ says right away that order is important, and even gives an example why:
방 옆에 = next to the room
옆 방에 = in the next room

I just thouht I would throw it out there for all beginner learners of Korean who are struggling like I did.
