There’s a trope I don’t really like on general media but when it comes to Swan Queen fanfiction it gets me every. Damn. Time.
Miscommunication.
Regina and Emma together, kissing, cuddling, dating and fucking and BAM- someone fucks something up (specially when it leads to one of them thinks the other one was just pretending ).
And if Emma is the one who fucks something up and it leads to heartbroken Regina because she doesn’t know how to be loved??
Or Regina fucking something up and Emma thinking she was just pretending because she’s not good enough for Regina??
This trope have my heart, and I’m lucky this fandom has some of the best writers in the world, and every now and then I stumble upon this trope. Bless y'all.
miscommunication works as a trope for SQ because these women are *so bad* at communicating. usually with this trope its like “no one could possibly be that dense” whereas with emma and regina its like “yeah that checks out”

Can you imagine that only Emma saw what happened to Daniel that night in the stable? no one has ever seen only Emma through the memory of the Regina, and at that moment she can feel all the pain Regina suffered on that day and the rest of her life.
