The aim while creating the paperback edition of Evie Wyld’s latest novel was to give a peak into the narrative which spans different timelines, the viewpoints of three different women and the severity of their experiences they felt on the Island. The Designer and Picture Editor worked together to find the right foreground painting, before the designer added photographed ripped pieces of paper to frame the Bass in all of its beautiful brutality.
 
Described as a modern gothic triumph, The Bass Rock is published by Vintage, and available now.
