It’s the start of the 4th Quarter 2020 Inuyasha Fandom Awards!!
We hope everyone has had a wonderful summer as we kick off the holiday season in the coming weeks! A huge shout-out to everyone who participated last quarter and made it such a huge success! We look forward to all the amazing new fanfiction and fanart to be nominated and shared with this beautiful community!
Before we get started, there have been a few changes that have been made during our brief hiatus.
Two major changes are that @sssuperbartola will be stepping up as a mod again for this quarter, and @ruddcatha is joining the mod-team! We are so happy to have Super back as an acting mod, and we welcome @ruddcatha into the mod-team with open arms. We sure this quarter is going to a blast!
We also want to give a shout-out to @britonell for always being so generous with creating the award banners. (If you have not yet received your award banner for last quarter, please reach out to one of the mods asap!)
There are also some changes coming to the categories that may effect you as nominators:
As Yashashime airs on October 3rd, we are now accepting nominations for the sequel into the Fanart categories only. This is due in part that we don’t know the storyline of the sequel well enough to assist in determining eligibility for fanfictions. In the first quarter of 2021, this will likely change.
We are adding a new category to both Fanfiction and Fanart: Best Non-Canon Pairing. The definition for fanfiction is as follows: A story including two or more characters in a romantic relationship with each other that were not canonically together in the manga or anime (such as InuKag, MirSan, KogAya, etc) The definition for fanart is as follows: An artwork depicting two or more characters in a romantic light with each other that were not canonically together in the manga or anime (such as InuKag, MirSan, KogAya, etc)
OurRoulette Category for fanfiction this quarter will be Best New Author. This is defined as: Fanfiction work that has been posted by an author who is new to the fandom within the past year.
If it was not mentioned above, chances are it hasn’t changed. Please be aware that the moderators always take all suggestions regarding how the awards are run and category changes into consideration, and each quarter may bring about new changes. You can read up on the most recent FAQs,Rules of Eligibility,andCategoriesfor more information (these links are only available on desktop)
As nominators, please make sure that each quarter you take a peak at our list of creators who can’t be nominatedto make sure you are staying current with who is eligible to be nominated.
The 4th Quarter 2020 nomination period will begin October 1st and go until the end of the day October 15th. Please send your nominations through the submit button! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to send in an ask or reach out to one of the mods!
