i did some shading experiments. took like way longer than i expected, but i kinda like the way it came out. it’s a little sloppy, and ideally i’d clean it up more, but i have homework |:

idk, though, the sketchiness sorta contributes to the general feel of the thing, y'know? idk. i’ve felt like this before.

guess who’s been listening to the frozen soundtrack on loop again … *raises hand unashamedly* i feel very connected to elsa in a way (i’m an older sister, for one thing, and i sometimes do have anxiety attacks), and so i tend to draw her before anna, but the younger sister is also very dear to my heart. i’ve seen a lot of posts on tumblr that the “”“fight”“” between the sisters (aka For the First Time in Forever’s reprise) didn’t get as heated as it should. while on the one hand i agree that it would be cool to see them actually have it out, i much prefer the way the movie did it, because i’m unreasonably attracted to a story about sisters who never lose faith in each other. at every turn, they still believe the best about each other, and i think that’s really what saves them.

i tried for a sort of lineless-ish way of doing it? also i’m trying disney’s big eye scrunched face style. it’s out of my comfort zone, but i think it came out okay.

i didn’t go too all out with the coloring, i kinda like the simpler style on this one.

i’ve been laughing about this pun for literally 24 hours now (probably more) so it gets my doodle for the day. inspired by the New York NeoFuturists and the ambiguity of the word “superbowl” (super bowl or superb owl? it’s a good question!).

i gave up on shading in favor of background. it’s really quick and kinda shitty because i spent most of the day out of the house.

sucks that i have to start off the month this way, but i’m in the middle of debugging my system, since photoshop won’t open on my new OS. so i did a shitty quick sketch of kristoff from frozen for today’s thing.

the lines and colors and shading all don’t work as well on the other program i use - firealpaca - mostly because i learned to do it on photoshop and the controls are all different. but guys, firealpaca is actually a SUPER GREAT FREE software that y'all should download, mac or pc, because it’s actually pretty darn sophisticated for free shit!! like i can’t use it as well because i’m more used to photoshop, but y'all will probably do great things with it! (especially if you’re on a mac and thus can’t download SAI )))): )
