Jamie x Claire x Fergus Fraser | It’s You We Need

The Frasers being soulmate goals

I thoroughly enjoyed season 6. Wouldn’t say it’s the best or my favorite but I think it was definitely better than the previous two seasons. What are your thoughts on the season overall or just this episode?

I thought Sam and Catriona’s performance was a lot better here than in the last episode. Some of y’all had some really well thought-out criticisms on my last post. What do y’all think?

“What advice does the cast have for Marsali and Fergus as they head to New Bern?”

Ah glad Outlander hasn’t completely forgot about them…I really hope they show up again at least for the last episode. They didn’t even include them in the family photo…again :(

New stills of Fergus from the previous 2 episodes that aren’t in the show…

I know bc I spent days trying to figure out if I’m going crazy or I missed something…

New stills of outlander s06e4!

Looks like we r gonna see more of young Ian and Lizzie

God I hope Fergus is in the rest of the season and doesn’t like leave in the middle…

Outlander Book 9 spoilers

So I might have spent two days not doing homework and instead skimming through outlander book 9 for any crumbs about Fergus and his family.

I posted about this ages ago that I was mad that Claire didn’t tell Fergus and Marsali about her ability to time travel, but book 9 just revealed that Fergus basically knew all along or kinda knew then figured it out later and told Marsali. I don’t know…it still seems unfair that Claire and Jamie sort of don’t really include them on any of the big family secrets, yet I guess they’re fine not knowing.

But I love seeing Jamie interact with the future and how he was so fascinated by Green Eggs and Ham and reading Lord of the Rings omg it was so cute and funny.

And I love how the book is slowly developing Germain and Jem’s character as they grow up to become teens…aaah I hope Diana focuses more on the them. Like no I don’t need a prequel about Jamie’s parents or a spin-off about Master Raymond. Give me a teen drama about the children or more lore about time traveling.

Lauren, Cesar, and Sam talk about the last episode.

God this was such a heart breaking and hard to watch episode. I was almost on tears. I love to see them explore more characters like this and see what they go through. And it’s so nice to see Cesar and Fergus have more screen time and range in their story.

I’m gonna need a few weeks to recover from that last episode so y'all prob not gonna see me posting much about it…

It’s getting to be a habit to post these late, but I have many words. Deep Thoughts #Outlander 412: Providence

This is my quest, to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To fight for the right, without question or pause
To be willing to march into hell for that heavenly cause

What an episode. Beards, Lord John, a multi-faceted Mohawk culture and the Fraser womenfolk kicking tail and taking…

Deep Thoughts: Outlander 408, “Wilmington”

It feels like just yesterday that I was complimenting some the adaptation’s changes to the novels, so it seems karmically fair that this week I should be slapped in the face by how deeply the tiny shifts from the novels affected one of the episodes to which I was most looking forward. Drums of Autumn, the novel upon which this season is based, prominently features Roger and Brianna as…

By now, I should know that Claire or Jamie telling the other that they won’t be separated again ends with them being separated again, but what can I say? If loving this show is wrong, I don’t want to be right. We finally arrive in Jamaica, and get to revisit characters, outfits and plot points that went a bit MIA for a while. We also got to check back in with everyone’s favorite Scottish Regina…

Claire’s streak of improbably surviving things that would kill the rest of us continues. This time she lands on modern-day Haiti, her clothes intact and her hair looking way better than it should and narrowly misses the three-day survival deadline. Because she’s Claire, she finds a nutty priest (he literally uses a coconut as a life coach), swans about in a fly robe and manages to be called a…

This week’s episode wasn’t impactful for any plot-driven reasons. As a matter of fact the biggest plot reveal, Captain Leonard’s intent to arrest Jamie, receded into the background to make room for a resolution to the Fergus/Marsali wedding, a viable plan for rescuing Claire from the Porpoise, and to allow for some much needed character development as we continue to rediscover the expanded Fraser…

Deep Thoughts Outlander 307: Crème de Menthe

This week is all about when people stop being polite and start being real. It’s like The Real World: Edinburgh. Claire and Jamie don’t get naked once this episode, but there is a lot of bared insecurity. Their second honeymoon over, the Frasers get down to the business of attempting to find their partnership once more. Despite some initial push-back due to the circumstance, Jamie doesn’t stand in…

Deep Thoughts Outlander 306: A. Malcolm

I’m coming off my third re-watch, and it’s almost one pm and I am in my pajamas and I have NO REGRETS. I don’t think anything was ever going to equal the thrill of reading these moments after waiting years for these two to reunite, but there are a lot of nuances in this episode that became apparent after a few viewings, and that’s what I’ll address here. I’m off to a birthday party and then date…
