Started working on my #prop guns for Prompto a bit ago, but today I finished the sanding and laid down a base coat. They’re just Halloween store revolvers I got secondhand, nothing special ♀️ Featuring where I didn’t quite sand off part of the factory imprint but the 666 is too funny to me

Chugging chugging along working on Prompto. I’ve had this godawful mustard fabric in my stash since 2016. I bought it on my partner and I’s first date, intending to use it for Sailor Moon mockups, but now I’m not sure what fabric I want to use for the leotard and thus, not sure if this is a suitable mock-up fabric. Hopefully going fabric shopping Tuesday after therapy!

FFXV will always have a special place in my heart. When I started playing it, I was in a bad place with cosplay. After cosplaying Yukari Mishakuji from K earlier in the year, I hated myself. I hated everything related to anime and video games, and I was ready at any moment to say “Fuck it” and sell EVERYTHING I owned related to gaming, anime or cosplay, give away what wouldn’t sell, and never look back. I felt like no matter what I did, it wasn’t good enough. Playing the game was cathartic for me; I was finally starting on a franchise that I felt like I wasn’t good enough to take part in. Cosplaying Prompto made me feel like I was finally taking back my favorite hobby for myself, not to appease someone else or try and build up someone else’s confidence. It was amazing, to be honest. This game will always be special to me, a symbol of me starting to take my life back for myself.

I had a wonderful time shooting with my girlfriend last weekend! She managed to get a wonderful shot of the back of the vest. Finding this on eBay was the score of the century. I’ll never get that lucky with anything ever again.

Did some photos with @sovereignflaw in my best boy. I actually really like most of the ones we took which is still surreal. I’m glad I took the plunge on this cosplay, because it’s nice to feel confident in something again.
