ballerina figure drawing session!
It was a great joy to model at premier concept design school Syn Studio today, demonstrating I:33’s 14th century European martial arts for artists who are training to go into Montréal’s vast video game industry.

“Ichor” (2022), charcoal on paper by A.M. Downs
In Greek mythology, ichor is the fluid that runs in the veins of the gods. The watery, liquid quality of the droplets on this drawing evoke water stains on antique photographs and images that are half-remembered when we dream.
Concept: nude figure drawing, except everyone is shaped like Barbie and Ken dolls
