i love how in tricksters, barry finally figures out wells is a murderer and most likely killed his mother, and immediately almost gives the whole game away because he can’t resist being a raging bitch to him shshsh

#he’s SO passive aggressive#like baby boy i get it. you’re allowed to be a BIT salty now you know the truth#but some SUBTLETY wouldn’t go amiss here#that being said. when he finally gets a lid on it and gives wells one of his most trusting puppy dog smiles…#and then turns away and the smile DROPS. chills#barry should be allowed to be scary more often#let him gaslight gatekeep girlboss cos he looks so good doing it#helen’s flash rewatch

not to reblog my own tags but THIS. THIS MOMENT.

these two expressions? literally less than five seconds apart. im already a sucker for this… trope? is it a trope? the reveal moment where a character drops the facade and you see their true feelings. but they did it SO well here.

when len said barry has it in him to be as ruthless as they come, this is the kind of shit he was talking about. honestly almost wish he’d rumbled wells earlier so we could have seen him playing the game for a bit longer. it was never really fair cos wells was always so many more steps ahead of him but if barry had the chance, if he’d been able to turn the tables… he could have played it so well. especially if he’d leaned into wells’ skeevy feelings for him cos you knowwww that puppy dog look threw wells off his game even though he KNEW it was bs. you could see how shook he was. UGH. im obsessed
