#fishy business
all tanks are hurricane prepped! all three fish tanks were cleaned and topped off yesterday, i have my battery powered air pumps handy and spare batteries for them and towels just in case something goes very wrong. snake tank has been relocated to the bathroom and away from the balcony door/window just in case something gets through both the shudders and the hurricane grade glass. i’m not going to worry too much about him since if the power goes out it’ll be hot anyway.
all buckets will be filled with water for whatever need arises whether it’s holding fish, refilling water bowls, or human consumption although i have enough juice to last me forever at this point
it’s taken forever but the rams are finally doing the feed me dance whenever i pass by
I…have no idea what’s happening in my 29 gal community. I know where the ick came from (I’m assuming from the rams I got fa few weeks ago for the 20 al, spots showed up after about three weeks and I must not have been careful with water changes beforehand) and that’s been treated for. Except, a week and half later I’m seeing occasional flashes still from the 29 gal. Nothing from the 20 gal.
There’s no spots, no one’s acting weird (aside from the flashing and flicking, (which is about once every hour), everyone eats. I’m hesitant to go with gill flukes because there is absolutely no way that got into the tank and there’s no slime coat issues or roughed up gills or gasping (assuming I do a decent job of showering after work and there weren’t any in any of the ponds I service). The only thing I’ve noticed is that two of my harlequin rasboras have gone a little pale norther of the black triangle, with the rest of their coloring being fine.
I’m not a fan of piling on medications. I don’t want to just go through them until one of them works. But I’d…really like it if I could find out what’s happening.
