#follower count is nearly meaningless if you think about it
i sometimes wish tumblr had a way to determine how many active followers you have—people who actually use tumblr and didn’t just log in a couple times and then leave. on the one hand seeing my active follower count might be depressing when it turns out i only have ten active followers and everyone else is just a passing rando in disguise. on the other hand that makes the low note counts on my shittiest posts MUCH more impressive, relatively speaking.
