For those of you that are unaware, we hosted a game show this year at @c2e2 ! Based off of a Japanese game, we made edible Cosplay related props that our contestants had to guess if they were real or edible. This box cutter was one of our favorites. We molded a real box cutter in @smoothon #smoothsil940 and casted it in white chocolate. Details were painted in cocoa butter mixed with food coloring and edible silver leaf. Behold the one and only photo of our completed JP staff prop from “Is it Food or is it Cosplay”! This was our most difficult prop to make for our @c2e2 panel. Making props is one thing, learning the complexities of sugar molding is another. FOUR WORDS: soft crack, hard crack. In the end, it was a good time. Already thinking of wacky ideas for next year.
