Serene University was a marvel for those who entered its sprawling halls for the first time. It seemed like something too good to be true with it massive campus and near-overabundance of resources. The library was housed with physical and digital copies of seemingly every literary piece known to man. The cafeteria was lauded as something even non-students would attempt to enter due to its variety of dishes big and small, alongside the culinary experts heralded around the world providing the dishes to students and faculty day in and day out. It was a genuine marvel, though the gym facilities for members of the sports teams was in its own stratosphere in comparison. Serene University prided itself on the athletic ability of their students, with the latest in technological facilities, nutritional information and coach routines, there was an obvious reason why their first year entering division-one athletic events had gone so well. Their newest member of the Track and Field team was somebody above and beyond expectations, however try as they might…
“There’s just something about this place that feels right, y'know!”
Despite the sprawling campus, it was a rarity to find Maple spending her time in the gym facilities. There was something quaint and quiet to the happy halls of Mundane Jane’s Gym that felt far more like home than anything Serene University would provide. Her coaches would be furious, her teammates confused, but it still didn’t matter to her, as being among her friends was far more worthwhile, even if it meant she might be a little bit late.
“Hey Mable?” Janet asked.
“What’s up Janet?” Maple replied. “Didn’t your practice start thirty minutes ago?”
“Oh… Yea…”
