A guy who had been following my YouTube adventures hired me for one of my day-long nude photo tours

A guy who had been following my YouTube adventures hired me for one of my day-long nude photo tours in the desert around Vegas. I don’t think he had much experience, and had never shot a model before, but he had a true appreciation for the desert and said that shooting a nude model was on his bucketlist.

Many models would refuse to shoot with such a guy – there’s a term used in the freelance modeling industry, “GWC,” which stands for “Guy With Camera,” and is meant to be a disparaging term for amateurs. It’s somehow considered dangerous or cheesy to shoot with such guys…but in my experience, who cares?? *ALL* photographers are “guys with cameras,” no matter how expensive the equipment or how ginormous and elaborate their watermark.

It’s true that credit should be given to those who have spent years refining their craft, and I have definitely noticed the difference when shooting with more experienced photographers. But, even an amateur newbie can take good photos…and have a wonderful time.

This particular man had brought along his beloved wife’s petticoats for me to pose in – they used to do old-West historical reenactments together, and she made all her own costumes, before she passed away from cancer after many happy years of marriage. After we finished the shoot, he gifted me the petticoats…and I was very touched!
