Summary:
After The Fall, the angels took a parasitic approach to dealing with the humans. No longer was there free will, instead there was control. Sanctuaries were erected, sorting humans into four categories, and Castiel’s brothers and sisters loved the new world order. He, however, didn’t agree. Their Father had always taught them that all life had purpose and meaning, but Castiel was sure he didn’t mean this. Despite his aversion to keeping a human, he agreed to take on Dean, a human marked Corrupt and sentenced to death. The idea that he could save Dean brought a new direction to Castiel’s life and he found himself engaged in learning about how the world once was.
