An anthology of nine of GallaPlacidia’s works. This started with me wanting to bind Scaredy Cat and then quickly became a massive three volume project but I am so so happy with how these turned out!
Volume One includes “Dad Says,”Lessons in Grace and Decorum, and The Bucket List
Volume Two includes Can I Tell You Something?,Code Name L, and Adventures of a Suicidal Gentleman
Volume Three includes The Bolthole,Teenage Wasteland, and Scaredy Cat
This project taught me a lot. I had some mishaps with trimming the fore edge of the textblocks and ended up having to reprint and re-sew the first volume. But I did get more comfortable with the process by the end of this (key takeaway: go slow and don’t use too much pressure if you are trimming with a utility knife). All of the lettering and the drawings on the spine were done with gold fabric paint and a lot of patience. The spines ended up being my favorite part–so excited to have these on my shelf!
