The Shadow 如月 has cast Gao Weiguang as Shen Zhiheng, a supernatural being from the late Qing dynasty who doesn’t age, get wounded or die. Ouyang Nana plays his love interest, a blind young maiden and daughter of a rich entrepreneur.

Happy New Year! There’s plenty of dramas premiering over the next few days, so I thought I’d cover them all in the same post. Which ones are you looking forward to watching the most?

On a side note, I just started watching time-loop drama Reset, and it’s pretty good so far. It’s not the thriller I was expecting, though I do like how it spends time developing the backstories of the other bus…

Coming from the writer of Joy of Life, Sword Snow Stride follows a youngster’s (Zhang Ruoyun) journey from a good-for-nothing noble to swashbuckling hero. As this is only the first season, I don’t think we’ll be able to see the hero getting involved in any warfare as a powerful general. This is why I hate seasonal formats, especially when the first season is already 38 episodes.
