“This old double-barreled shotgun was given to me by the family of a fellow who had recently passed away. There was a problem with it, though. It had no stock. But I happened to have an old M1 Garand rifle stock on my bench at the time, and I started thinking… Why not the put the shotgun in the Garand stock? Got out my tools, including files, sandpaper, Brownells Acraglas, and some stain, and set to work. I’m pretty pleased with my first attempt at stock making. Not only did it turn out great, but it shoulders naturally, so you’re looking right down the barrel, as if I had fitted a shotgun before! There’s even room behind the trapdoor in the buttplate to store a spare shell. It’s now my favorite shotgun! Thanks, Brownells - couldn’t have done it without you.” - Brownells Customer Bill P for Sunday Gunday

My newest addition- the legendary Springfield M1 Garand in .30-06. The M1 was the primary rifle used by American forces in the Second World War and over 5 million examples were produced from 1934-1956. The serial number on mine tells me the rifle was built in August, 1941, four months before the US entered the war. -A
