Today we are introducing TWO NEW CHARACTERS into the show proper! Don’t miss it! I’d say that these two are some of my favorite characters, but honestly everyone on OK KO is my favorite character!!!!!
I love these backgrounds from Bittersweet Rivals in the Point Prep Arc. Some very cool ones, but my favorite is the sunset painted by William Gibbons.
Also included here: The tippy top of Point Prep, the view below, and a front and reverse view of Enid, Elodie, Koala Princess, and Miss Pastel’s living room. These are my layouts, painted by William for the top four and Emily Walus for the downshot. Art direction by John Pham.

Tonight is our very first episode… LET’S BE HEROES!
After spending years trying to get people to understand and get excited about OK KO! via pitches, meetings, presentations and bibles, figuring out how to put all that info into a single 11-minute piece of fun entertainment was very challenging. This was actually our fifth episode produced. We wanted to give each of our board teams an opportunity to work on simpler, more self-contained episodes before taking on the more complex “first” episodes. Luckily in Geneva and Mira’s hands, the whole thing feels shockingly comfortable and natural. Suddenly everything about the world, the characters, and KO’s point of view snapped into place. It was an a-ha moment both for us and the network.
