the fact that in ghost quartet, the song that fulfills the trope of an eleven o'clock number best, hero, is directly followed by a song titled midnight can’t be a mistake to me??? like hero is an emotional ballad that i cannot listen to without Sobbing and directly after that dave malloy decides to put midnight, which is a really odd choice musically? its not coherent but it wraps several story lines up and gives closure to the characters before the finale which makes sense for the title, especially after an emotionally fueled ballad and THE CALL BACK TO THE ASTRONOMER AT THE END OF THE SONG KILLED MY ENTIRE FAMILY, and on the live version of the wind and rain, the final song of ghost quartet, you can hear brittian ashford’s voice waver in a way that’s more reminiscent of hero than the messy yet calm tone of midnight as she says the track order and name, almost in fear of the end that was just softly embraced

You’re my sister,
And you’re my lover,
And you’re my child,
And you’re my best friend.

And,

It’s me,

Tumblr’s Top 50 Musicals: Results

I’ve posted the Top 50 Musicals over the last couple of days, and now it’s time to look at all shows that have been submitted - 275 in total! Thank you for participating and submitting your lists, this was great fun

The scores (given in brackets) were calculated as follows: #1 received 10 points, #2 received 9 points,…, and #10 received 1 point, resulting in 55 points per entry/list. Incomplete and anonymous entries were discounted.

I ranked the musicals up to #102 (16 points), all shows which scored 15 points or less are merely listed. The logos you can see here represent musicals that weren’t mentioned even once.
