There will be a new anime project a week after Gintama’s last movie, Gintama: THE FINAL. The title for this new anime project is Gintama: THE SEMI-FINAL (IDEK WHAT IT MEANS THO, STAFFS??????). There will be 2 episodes and it will be on air on 15th and 20th January in dTV channel.

So, it has been revealed by Sorachi-sensei through his first generation editor, Oonishi-san via LINE, in last night Gintama YouTube channel live, that Gintoki’s real age is 27 yo, means he’s 29 yo in the movie THE FINAL.
Wdyt? Did you guys guessed it right or not? My own prediction was abt 27-29 yo before timeskip.

As informed before, this new anime project aired one week (January 15th) after the movie premiere (January 8th). The plot will be taken place right before the battle that adapted in the movie. Simply, this taken place right after the ending of the Silver Soul arc that ended 2 years ago. There are 2 arcs for this anime, the Yorozuya arc, aired on January 15th and the Shinsengumi arc, aired on January 20th.

Finally after the key visual released 2 weeks ago, the dTV staffs teasing us w a short trailer of the prequel of the movie, GINTAMA: THE SEMI-FINAL!
It seems the plot in these 2 episodes is right after the last episode in the Silver Soul arc pt. 2 in 2018 and some of gag materials before the real battle in the upcoming movie.

8th December 2003 is the debut of Gintama in Weekly Shounen Jump (Shuukan Shounen Jump), and it’s already ended in JUMP GIGA on 20th June 2019.
I just watch the series this year, and i already laughed and cried a lot w Gintama. But im really glad to meet w Gintama, and maybe i’ll regret it if i didnt watch or read the series.
