It’s important to point out that this suit here is NOT The Kiryugoji built for Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (2002) and Godzilla vs. Mothra vs. Mechagodzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. The is an attraction suit made at the same time for promotional and public appearances. It looks so “fresh” because it was never put through the rigors of filming (explosion squibs, etc.) because it was never meant to be used on screen.
The real Kiryugoji is of markedly superior quality to this, even in its current state of decay.
