I’m so glad that Drinking Song for the Socially Anxious isn’t necessarilya romance. I mean, yes, it could be the start of a really cute love story, if you want to read it that way. But it could also be taken as the beginning of a beautiful friendship. It’s that delighted same hat! recognition, that feeling of relief and ease in the presence of a kindred spirit. Someone who thinks you’re neat, and you’re just like “yeah I am :)” about it, because you like yourself when you’re with them. Their smile makes you feel safe.
