The Green Hornet was actually the great-grandnephew of the Lone Ranger, who had a nephew named Dan Reid (Britt Reid’s grandfather).
Both the Green Hornet radio show and the Lone Ranger were created for Detroit WXYZ radio by the same guys, Fran Striker and radio producer George W. Trendle, who added that little connection between both WXYZ Detroit radio shows.

Two of the coolest cars ever. The 1966 Batmobile and the Green Hornet Black Beauty. I remember watching both shows as an eight year old. I really worried over the Batman cliff-hangers. We traded the bubblegum cards on the school playground. Bruce Lee was Kato, the Green Hornet’s sidekick. Happy memories.
