“Most potent puppy-dog eyes I’ve ever seen. Will pull you into interpersonal drama if she thinks it’s good for you. That does not mean it is.”

Critical Role, Season 2 Episode 31 - Commerce and Chaos. Jester and Nott decide to prank the Platinu

Critical Role, Season 2 Episode 31 - Commerce and Chaos.

Jester and Nott decide to prank the Platinum House (the temple to Bahamut, the Platinum Dragon) in Zadash by vandalizing the altar.

Jester impersonates Kumas, the Herald of the House, an aged silver scaled dragonborn while Nott appears as some random elderly female gnomish priest. Nott manages to clear out most of the evening worshipers from the altar room for the holy father.

One male half-elf priest of the Silver Temple insists on remaining, despite Jester’s insistence that he should move along so she can pray in solitude, until Nott explains: “I think what His Holiness is trying to convey is that he’s going on a spiritual journey, and there’s only room on that train for one dude…”

Jester waves on the half-elf on, telling him “Scoot on out. Scoot it.” The helf-elf priest does, slowly, watching them the entire time as he leaves.

After that, Jester climbs up on the statue of the Platinum Dragon, paints it with a riot of colors, adds a fake mustache and straw hat, and then they’re discovered and a chase ensures!

I had the hardest time choosing which part of this madcap adventure to draw, but Nott’s train metaphor won me over.
