He sighed and looked at his dad, half of him wanting to just cry in his arms for a while, the other not sure that was safe, regardless of his dad telling him it should be.  The mixed feelings the bond sent him didn’t help much either, it was just confusing. All of this was confusing to him right now.

Chris: I’ll go pick up Brooke, and I’ll see you two back home. And I am keeping tab on your dragon, don’t worry.

He smiled and vanished, sending a quick text to his husband, so the ones as home were prepared as well.

Flynn: I’m so sorry dad.. I should just have told you the first time, I don’t know why I thought it was a one-time thing.. -he slumped his shoulders. - Take me home?
River: Flynn, you don’t need to apologize for that… You dealt with it the best you could. You’re a young adult, and you have the right not to tell me everything. All that matters is when you truly need it, you trust me to aid you -he brushed his hair gently, holding an arm around his son and with his free hand wiped a tear from his cheek- And don’t worry, I think they’re just struggling with themself right now. It’s not your fault, give them time. They’ll return once they’ve calmed down. Now, come on…

He waved his hand, a portal opening. He helped Flynn cross over to the other side, finding themselves on their home, right on the dungeon. He helped his son sit and brushed a hand through his cheek, checking to see the marks on his flesh. They were fractal scarring, from the electricity of the overcharge. Suddenly he heard someone knock at the door.
