#headless says stuff

LIVE

With the conclusion of Crossing the Bridge, I will now officially be moving over to @gutspace as my art blog! Please follow that if you’d like to follow my work! I have a handful of Haikyuu paintings I’ll start posting over there and for the month of October my goal is to make a spooky themed HQ painting every day… wish me luck? Follow me at @gutspace

I will continue to check messages and notes on this blog for some time and will reblog a few things over here from gutspace but from here on our this is no longer my active space. Thank you so much for the support @theheadlessgirl has received!

@theheadlessgirl will remain up and intact as an archive.

Crossing the Bridge is an Asahi x Noya future comic I worked on in my sparetime. It’s more personal than factual, focusing on how Asahi dealt with anxiety in post-highschool life, how he ends up on Nishinoya’s couch, and the samoyed mix Butterbean the Butter Queen.
The comic updated with the tag “ctb updates” and all CtB content is tagged “crossing the bridge”. Ask the boys & Butterbean whatever you like over here- @ask-ctb-asanoya I will continue to update for at least a little while.
PS: my main art blog has moved from @theheadlessgirlto@gutspace

All Haikyuu comics here!

I decided to add all my sentimental shit onto a reblog so y’all don’t have to even deal with deleting it or not haha.
I started CtB about a year ago and the idea is probably two years old? I didn’t think for a long time I could do it, but here it is. And it’s done now and I hope everyone who was invested in it can walk away with some level of closure and satisfaction. @thehauntedboy may get on my case about not showing a kiss, but I didn’t want to punctuate the end of the comic that way. That’s for the supplementary content in the print version which I hope to have by the end of the year.
Thank you so much to everyone who followed my little story. Thank you for your patience and your encouragement. I don’t have words for how much it means to me to have your support through this project and I’m quite humbled and touched by the people who told me this story resonated with them. I’m sorry for making you sad through the story! But CtB is one that ends with hope and with a future. Between the last update and this one I started therapy and hopefully I’m on my own bridgeway to feeling like someone worth caring about. Thank you for following Asahi’s story and by design, my own.

OH PS if you like dying and being dead please read my comic and watch/listen to this song!

quick feeler: is it of interest to anybody to see process videos of paintings like the asanoya fall painting?

I’ve had a tentative interest for a long time in recording traditional work I’ve done, especially as the process feels much less linear to me than digital. What my goal would be is to have sped-up videos of paintings or drawings. With October coming up and with it the infamous Inktober subject matter lists making the rounds, I’d really like to dedicate to a similar painting project. It would be great to film some of them at least for myself, but if it’s of interest to anybody else then I’d like to make it a little “fancier”. Ie- using a real camera instead of my phone.

(edit: oh my god, the zeal in the few replies I’ve gotten has literally floored me, ty guys so much ;v; I’d love to hear any/all more replies as well!)

tiny snippets of stuff I’ve done or am working on lately.

I really want to get the last update on my AsaNoya fancomic, Crossing the Bridge finished up and share it with everyone, I didn’t mean to leave it on a cliffhanger for so long! I’m passionate about finishing it and I’m so thankful for everyone’s support. There’s so much of me in this story and it’s because of that that it can be hard to work on when I’m dealing with anxiety and depression on an daily basis and although I’m getting help now it’s still a very rough road for me and I have to prioritise fulfilling my commitments before I focus on my fancomic. I so appreciate the patience of everyone who follows the story! It means the world to me to see this story reach anybody outside myself.

Again, just a heads up that after I post the final update for CtB here, theheadlessgirl will become an archive and I will exclusively post to my new account, gutspace. If you’d like to continue to follow my work, please follow me there! Also my twitter URL will change from theheadlessgirl to gutspace at that time as well. Although I’ve been shy there lately, it is the easiest way for casual communication with me and I do post sketches there that don’t make it to tumblr. Also a lot of photos of my cat sleeping. (I promise I’m not as stuffy & weird on twitter as I am here!)

Also I think I’m gonna swap my commissions-info posts to just “open commissions” and communicate individually with each customer instead of having a “menu” to pick off of. I don’t have a high enough volume of commissions to fill that would cause a menu to make my life easier and I feel that working organically with a customer to suit their needs and budget will be more effective.
