Lost in Time

Based on this request:  Can you please write a Henry Winchester one where he and the fem!reader are lovers(however you want to frame it with his wife is up to you), and she gets pulled into the future with him. She helps save him and they have to decide whether to stay in the future or go back?

Here you are! I apologize for taking so long. I have had a very difficult time writing lately. *I do not own ANY SPN characters. The belong to the writers/creators of the show.*

Warnings: Angst, mentions of violence and injury, a little fluff. Slight changes to the episode.

Pairings: Henry Winchester x fem!reader

Normally, women weren’t allowed into the Men of Letters. You, however, were a legacy. Your parents had no sons, so you were the only legacy available. That was how you met Henry Winchester. His wife had left him when she grew tired of his long hours, some at work and some with the Men of Letters though he still saw his son on occasion. A few months after that, the two of you had begun a romantic relationship. You were glad to be there to fully welcome Henry into the Men of Letters. If you hadn’t been, you would have never seen him again.

“I don’t mean to rush you, Henry dear, but if you could perform that spell just a bit faster…” you told him as you did your best to hold the door closed against Abbadon. Henry muttered something and then, a moment later, you felt yourself being pulled away from the door. You let out a little cry as you fell and landed right on top of Henry.

You lay on top of him for a moment, panting heavily. “What the hell?!” a deep voice caused you to look away from Henry. Henry gently guided you up to standing. “Which one of you is John Winchester?” he asked. Instead of an answer, Henry received a punch to the face, essentially rendering him unconscious. “Henry?!” You whirled on the two young men in the room.

“Why on earth would you do that? He was merely asking for help.” The shorter of the two arched a brow. “Look, sweetheart-”

“My name is Y/N. Y/F/N.” The taller of the two’s eyes went wide. “I know that name.” You hummed before tending to Henry. You’d let the two of them work it out for now. If they really had heard your name before, then they’d figure it out. Time was short.

Henry woke up and cried your name. “I’m here,” you reassured him with a smile. He sat up and looked at the two men. “I am looking for John Winchester.” The shorter man crossed his arms over his chest. “Our dad’s dead.” You felt Henry tense beside you. “Y-You’re his sons? J-John’s sons?” you asked knowing Henry couldn’t. Both men confirmed and Henry let out a chuckle of disbelief.

“I’m-” Before he could continue, the room began to shake. You met his gaze. “Abbadon!” you cried. Henry was out of the bed in an instant, pulling you from the room. Henry began trying to break the window of a beautiful car only to be yelled at by John’s sons. Henry was pushed back a bit as the shorter one ordered you both into the back. You didn’t argue and instead climbed into the vehicle, saying nothing as you were driven to a different motel where you’d finally introduce yourselves to the younger Winchesters.

*time skip*

You could feel the tears forming in your eyes as you sat next to Henry’s bed in yet another motel room. He had been unconscious for days after the fight with Abbadon. You, Sam, and Dean had your fair share of bumps and bruises, but the love of your life had gotten much worse from her. You weren’t even sure if he was going to make it.

“I think I know why Dad never saw Henry again. Henry got trapped in this time. He couldn’t go back,” Sam had said. You hoped that was the only reason. You really hoped it wasn’t because Henry died. Reaching over to push some hair from Henry’s face, you whispered to him how much you loved him.

“What will you do?” Sam asked and you shrugged a little. “If Henry wakes, we’ll decide together. If he doesn’t, I don’t know what I’ll do. I had nothing except Henry back in our time. And what if going back changes something here? It’s not a decision I can make lightly or in the midst of such emotion.” The brothers nodded. When you went to continue, a soft groan stopped you. You felt your lips stretch into a smile.

“Henry?” His beautiful eyes flickered for a moment before opening. He gave you a soft smile. “Hello, Darling.” He sat up, groaning slightly. You admonished him for not being more careful as Sam and Dean looked on. “I can see why Grandma told Dad the two of you ran off together.” Henry frowned and Sam continued, “It’s obvious you’re crazy about each other and Grandma didn’t know what really happened.” With a sigh, Henry shifted once more. “I never meant to leave John. I love my son and now I have a chance to know my grandsons, if you’ll let me.”

Dean finally spoke up, “Does that mean you’re staying?” Henry shrugged and groaned again. “Dammit, Henry. Stop moving so much, you’ll tear your stitches,” you scolded, earning a sheepish smile from the man. “I think we have to,” he answered Dean once you’d finished tended to him once more. You met his gaze and nodded. You were expecting it.

“I agree. If John grew up without you, then going back could change things drastically. John might not meet Mary which means Dean and Sam might never be born. They wouldn’t be alive to stop the Apocalypse. Or if they were alive, they wouldn’t be hunters. Again, allowing the Apocalypse to happen. The risks of going back are far worse than the ones staying here,” you stated. Henry beamed at you. He always admired how logically you thought sometimes.

“We’re gonna need a bigger place to live. Motels aren’t gonna cut it with all four of us,” Dean muttered. Both you and Henry looked at each other and then back at them in confusion. “What?” Dean asked. “Do-Haven’t you found the Men of Letters bunker in Lawrence?” It was the brothers turn to be confused as you pulled out the necklace you wore with the key dangling safely from your neck. The four of you shared smiles and your heart swelled. Even if you were now lost in time, you could have a family. You could have love. And you could have something that the boys hadn’t had before. You could have a home.

(a/n: I hope you like it!!)
