Today I got a nasty bit on my hand. Maybe a horsefly or something similar. Doug said it looking like a small bee? Anyway it stung like a beast and started to swell immediately. The stinging was such that I couldn’t concentrate on much else. I though of plantain since we were outside and figured it’s worth a try. A leaf, mashed vigorously between my palms until it was wet, smeared onto the bite- the stinging stopped within 10 seconds and the swelling was gone in about 2 min. Never returned. Thought I’d share since it was so very available and useful! #plantain #herbalremedies
