The Reader side was nearly as close as the Staff side with Rafael L. Silva beating Patrick John Flueger by just 4 votes. This entire round was a shining example of how important each and every vote is. Rafael has been nominated many times, but this marks his first win. His performance in this episode as a loving and supportive partner just trying to understand the struggles of the man he loves gave him some wonderfully deep material to work with. This episode also allowed him a really nice range to play with from the fun side of Carlos to the deeply caring side of him. He delivered a masterful performance that earned him a well overdue win.
