Hey HeR, if you’re actually trying to do this song and dance that your games are going to be used as educational tools, as supported by this worksheets that people are actually gonna use and print out and fill out, let’s stop putting tons of fucking full-color images in it that no one is gonna wanna print

I know it’s a different department (supposedly; it may be that all the work in the office is divided up evenly between 4 unqualified people) but holy shit the garbage graphic design of this newsletter gives me no hope for any future games.

if they can’t even find a clip art of a calendar that doesn’t look like a waffle, how can we expect them to make characters that have more than two (2) facial expressions per character?

there’s a lot here that’s definitely fake but the funniest part is that whoever at HeR ghost wrote this got the fact that CLK is based off three books incorrect, because it’s actually four

this company doesn’t even know its own product well enough to make up stories about its “fans”

I like how HeR, who seems to be struggling to create new products, only has one (1) job posting on their website, which is out of date, and the role is just to make more bullshit for their websites and try to stretch existing product enough that they never actually have to hire people with skill in game production

Some of the Skills requirements are absolutely absurd given how big this company’s budget probably is, and what we’ve seen them put out in the past(also this posting had a Oct 2021 deadline, so that suggests that the work we’ve been seeing recently is coming from someone who met this level of “Skills”):

Apparently for this job might involve promoting a new product, but honestly it’s not that big of a deal if you don’t know how to do that because we might not ever release a new product

And finally, this super rich requirement from HeR, the company that has time and time again pushed back promised deadlines for deliverables to the fans.

Also in HeR’s shitty attempt at professionalism fashion, the job posting says nothing about whether this is a full time or part time position, or anything about pay, not even if it’s salaried or hourly.

shout out to HeR for no longer having a physical office (it is now a law firm that specializes in estate planning) but not updating any of their website or online listings for them to reflect that (everything says they’re based in Bellevue but the PO Box listed at the bottom of the latest newsletter is in Renton).

they really just sent their intern out with a shitty camera (like below even an old-Iphone quality)

they really just sent their intern out with a shitty camera (like below even an old-Iphone quality) to find something that has 1) trees and a 2) fountain and then to slap GTH music on it with a quote and act like that’s promo for yet another sale.

What about that house that’s on Ellie’s wallpaper in DED? That’s clearly what was used as inspiration for the game itself? Why can’t you have one of the developers of that game explain what that place is and why it stood out to them and how they used that in making the final GTH game that we played?

Oh wait, because they don’t work for you anymore. So you have to resort to getting interns (who are probably unpaid) to basically create fanfiction content of vague notions of what your company used to create
