#his highness
my steadfast, undyingly loyal knight returns from a day of training recruits or maybe a battle, worn and weary and absolutely ready to take a well-deserved break.
he allows me to take his hands in mine, the cold, unflinching metal of his gauntlets makes my hands feel small and weak but he smiles at the gesture, grateful for someone who see all of him underneath those silvery plates.
nobody’s around. the marble hallway is lit by dim, flickering torches and his sabatons clank softly against the cracked, aging floor as he takes a step back. i take a step forward, surprising him as i pin his hands over his head.
he doesn’t protest when i lift his visor up and he smells of war and ash and metal and i do not care, i want him and i want him to know this.
he still has his sword in hand as i press my soft lips to his scarred own, and as i deepen the kiss, the clatter of metal against stone makes me jump. he’s lost his grip on his sword and i start losing my grip on reality as my head spins.
things are blessedly quiet and thankfully, nobody interrupts us or comes down the hall as i strip him of his armour and then his tunic.
really, i don’t think he’ll mind laying his sword down, just for a little while.
objectifying men in armor will literally never get old. like, work it shiny boy. hit ‘em with that old razzle dazzle you fuckin trash can. hottie! (tucks $5 into your cuirass)

These are beautiful but unfortunately harvesting coral for jewelry is highly damaging to the ocean environment so be VERY wary of coral jewelry.
Fortunately, these days it’s more common to take a reddish stone, like carnelian, and carve it into that branched coral shape to get the same effect, or to use a plastic like bakelite, or sometimes repurpose old natural coral jewelry pieces into new pieces (it’s not like you can un-harvest the coral ). But if you see a new piece of jewelry and they don’t specify “mock coral” or some other way to assure you that it wasn’t harmfully harvested, do not buy it. We need to stop giving money to true coral jewelry, the ocean is hurting enough as it is.
All the old ones are definitely true coral and if you find a piece in an antique store or something, it’s not an issue to buy it (unless you have issues with wearing something that was once alive) but I’d REALLY hope that one from 2016 is a coral alternative like carnelian or a synthetic.
if a hand kiss isn’t done with either reverent trembling and closed eyes or with a certain slow sensuality and direct ‘fuck me’ eye contact, you are wasting my time and everyone else’s
