Bag End Seed Cake
I used this recipe by Esgaroth to make lovely hobbit seed cakes! The only change I made was replacing the buttermilk with lactose free cream and adding a cup of orange juice to keep it moist.
After the big cake was ready, I used a cup to cut little round cakes and piled them up, you know, in case some guests drop by for an unexpected party.

Hobbit Tea Party!
Hello fellow read-alongers! Lisl here! This is my third Tolkien read-along and even though I’ve decided not to join a team this time, I’m super excited to read The Hobbit for the (probably) 6th or 7th time. I’m a long time Tolkien fan and since I’ve introduced myself twice already, I’ll just jump right into the party.
Looking through all the stuff I’ve made for the LOTR and the Silmarillion read-alongs I realized I’ve made several delicious recipes, so here are some of my favorites:
