Today I was at my local bakery playing Zelda on my switch and I spotted a fellow asexual. They were wearing an ace flag mask, and I immediately noticed the moment they walked in. I started internally squeaking because OH MY GOD ANOTHER ASEXUAL- I was kinda fumbling for a sec trying to figure out what to do because I wanted to say something but I didn’t know what. I finally hurried over to them excitedly and showed them my phone’s screen. On my notes app I had a message that read “Hey there! As a fellow asexual, I just wanted to say happy pride month!”. They gave me a happy smile in response, and then we both sorta nodded to each other before going about our business. They waved goodbye to me while leaving the bakery soon after. I think that was the highlight of my day.
