Most Mondays sucked. Everyone could probably agree on that. Only, this Monday put them all to shame in its degree of suckitude. First, there was an accident on the highway, which meant you were late getting to work, and that just set the tone for the day. You played phone tag with one vendor, had one of the researchers annoyed at you because they only put in the purchase order this morning for something they actually needed to have in hand by the previous afternoon, spent the afternoon in a meeting that could’ve been an email, and ended up having to finish a big project on your own time because of the meeting that could’ve been an email. Then, when you finally got home and into your office to work on said project, you managed to spill an entire cup of coffee into your laptop.
You sat there, staring at the blank screen for a moment, your heart sinking lower with each second as the horror of what just happened sank into you inch by inch. Then, you sprang into action—killed the power to the machine, shot out of your chair in a flash to grab the roll of paper towels from the kitchen and came back to mop up as much coffee as possible. It was unreal, just how much that damn travel mug held. And damn it, you thought you’d secured the lid, only to find out in the worst way imaginable, that no. It was off just enough that the bump of your elbow and splat.Coffee. Everywhere.
Oh my Mahal! I am so keeping this fic. With my job and working at home with family around sometimes, customers screaming in my ears on occasion and nearly having my work computer (provided by my job) fried thanks to my brother being careless and spilling his drink all over the tower…
Yeah, I would defiantly need a hug and serious cuddle sessions with this dwarf after a day like that… or any other shittober day of the week. This is the comfort fic I will read every time I have a crappy day.

I think a lot of people forget that Namjoon is so young. He was 19 internationally when they debuted. He is only a year older than Jimin and Taehyung and the maknae of the hyung line. At 19 he carried the hopes and dreams of six other boys and a company close to bankruptcy and it’s easy to cringe at 2013 Namjoon. He tried too hard, he made mistakes, he did expensive girl, his hair was stupid, and named himself Rap Monster! But 2013 Namjoon was also the one who was hungry for success, who lived diligently, produced music, wrote lyrics, and pushed forward despite an entire industry and underground artists he once respected insulting and degrading him and his brothers. 2013 Namjoon was desperate and terrified to show the world his heart and soul, and the layers peeled back revealed the kindest and wisest soul. So I love 2013 Namjoon. I love him to bits. I love his stupid hair, his sunglasses, his try hard attitude, his cringey, terrible mistakes, because 2013 Namjoon is what made 2019 Namjoon. He carried the weight of the world on his shoulders and turned it into a beautiful strength.
