Imagine if you were 11 years old and the first Voyager episode you saw was Coda? And your little gremlin preteen brain is like ‘oo, they’re in love’ because, like, have you seen Coda? Kathryn Janeway’s more concerned that Chakotay’s sobbing over her dead body than she is that the dead body is her’s. That would really fuck you up if then the rest of Voyager happened.
