Doctor Who fans who are able to make it out to Immersive Everywhere’s West End production Doctor Who: Time Fracture during its run (until April 2022) are going to have yet another familiar face waiting for them when they do. That’s right, as you can tell from the headline, Alex Kingston is returning to the live-action version of River Song for a special pre-recorded cameo.

Kingston joins David Bradley, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Jo Martin, and current Doctor Jodie Whittaker when it comes to pre-recorded cameos - with voice actors taking on the Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth Doctors; Michael Troughton provides the voice-over for Patrick Troughton’s Second Doctor. To mark the occasion, the fine folks at Time Fracture released new preview images as well as a teaser video marking River Song’s return.
