after seeing a particular fanart, kind of got inspired with a friend to rave on about arakita being a big mum to manami and kinjou eventually being like a dad idk feel free to use these!!! a lot of these were discussed with a friend on twitter so also credit to @bbffft over on twitter!!!
- manami randomly showing up to arakita’s apartment at yonan yelling “i miss you mum!!!” and soon, as he’s tired from changing his locks so often (because manami, that lil knucklehead keeps trying to pick it and ends up breaking it), arakita just gives manami a spare key. “don’t think this means you can come all the time. at least shoot me a text beforehand, okay?”
- after many visits, manami ends up asking, “arakita-san, you like kinjou-san, don’t you?” in which arakita goes red in the face and shoves manami’s butt out the door.
- sometimes manami waits for arakita at the yonan cycling club room and when arakita arrives, his senpai would be like, “arakita, your child is here.”
- one day, manami goes to visit arakita again, but sees that he’s not home/at his apartment. he gets bored waiting around and decides to go to kinjou’s apartment and see if he’s there so he has someone to bother. manami ends up hanging out with kinjou and tells him all the embarrassing stories about arakita back at hakogaku. arakita comes back and is all suspicious like… what have ya’ll been doin’… why ya’ll giggling every time you look at me….
- manami describes arakita’s pompadour in great detail and promises to bring a photo the next time he visits kinjou
- after that episode, manami would one day just speak out and say, “i really like kinjou-san. i wouldn’t mind him being dad. since you’re mum and all.” cue big tsun baby arakita
- when manami doesn’t show up to practise and kuroda goes ballistic, izumida just sighs and is like “someone please call arakita-san…”
- sometimes arakita is too mum and sees that manami’s clearly not in the mood to go to practise and lets him stay with him or even stay the night
- arakita sometimes sees kinjou just doing nice, small cute things for manami and he’s just so overwhelmed that kinjou accepted him so easily and loves manami as much as he does
- arakita helps manami with homework and sometimes they both don’t know what the heck to do so they go to kinjou at 2am and kinjou is all sleepy but arakita looks hopeless and he knows that he has to help their child
- after kinjou helps manami with homework several times, manami lets kinjou keep the pompadour photo of arakita. kinjou frames it and puts it on his desk. when arakita first sees it he’s all “what the fuck what is that where did you get that” and kinjou is just all smiles, “got it from our precious child”. “I’M GONNA KILL THAT CHILD” “DON’T U DARE LAY A FINGER ON HIM YASUTOMO” “what the fuck kin-chan”
- when manami stays over late, arakita sends him off on his bike or at the train station the next morning, “don’t drive kuroda crazy, please go to practise, don’t forget to eat BE GOOD AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK MUM LOVES YOU”
- soon after, all the hakogaku third years are bombarding arakita with phone calls because manami thought it was a good idea to tell everyone back at hakone that arakita has a boyfriend and it’s THEIR RIVALS TEAMS’ PREVIOUS ACE
