I just had an idea for a world setting inspired by a post I just read from @incandescent-creativity.

A world where the seasons are determined by the zodiac placement of the sun (or better yet, the moon).

So for instance, when the sun (or better yet, the moon) is in Cancer, there is more cold and snow but when the sun (or better yet, then moon) is in Leo, it is really hot and sunny and bright.

Or maybe, since the sun & moon change so frequently, I instead would do the Pluto signs, which basically change generationally. So with each passing generation comes a new season.

Ooh! Or maybe, since I’ve already done so much with Astrology, maybe I could do it according to Numerological stuff.

Every 30 years, the seasons change according to a 9-year cycle. The 1 year has the air of authority. The winds blow like they’re trying to push you where they want you to go. It’s also a season where strength casts over the weak, as the trees blossom their colorful leaves, falling on the flowers, which are slowly dying.

But the 9th year in the cycle is the holiest of all. The days have that nice glow to them but they’re not overly hot. They have the kind of air that tells you change is coming. The flowers blossom and show their brilliant, vibrant colors the most during this generational 3-decade season.
