Thought:

Harumi’s death has for sure been retconed, but it’s possible her last minute redemption hasn’t been. She’s working for the Crystal King, but what if she has plans to betray him in some way?

Only she and Lloyd know about her change of heart- it’s that one glance they shared right before she died, so it would be reasonable to assume no one has a reason to suspect her betrayal. And her realization that she was causing the same pain to others that traumatized her isn’t one I think she would forget.

Her taunting Lloyd in prison may have been a disguised way of warning him of the inpending threat along with it’s severity and scale.
