People who think Loki is “ooc” for having fun and being mischievous, let me remind you, this is what he was like before he found out he was adopted. Remember that deleted scene that y'all cry over because it wasn’t included? The one where he’s mischievous and soft? Yeah. He’s been through hell after that and now he’s finally free from the clutches of Thanos, and he’s finally come to terms with his own identity and his future. This is 100% something I would see as being in context and VERY accurate for a man who’s had his first taste of freedom after a year of unspeakable tortures.

Loki being a mischievous scamp and Loki being a tragic figure who never really fit anywhere and was thus pushed aside in favour of Thor… can and should co-exist.

Loki knowing how to have fun the Asgardian way (because that’s where he was brought up) and Loki calling out the Asgardians on their bullshit… can and should co-exist.

Loki being a badass sorcerer and equal parts chaotic, nihilistic dumbass disaster… can and should co-exist.

Loki having several mental breakdowns in a row and Loki laughing at the slightest amusing thing he encounters… can and should co-exist.

Loki being arrogant and Loki being pragmatic and adaptable… can and should co-exist.

Loki ruining the other variant’s plans because of his own nihilism and hopelessness and Loki finding solutions to resolve it… can and should co-exist. (I might add, this is a theme taken from the Norse Loki himself. It checks out.)

Loki being an adorable singing, dancing drunk and Loki being hot af when he lifted that building with his power… co-exists!

Loki being concerned and protective about other people overtly and Loki pretending not care about others is something the fanfics have been portraying for long. The former is the truth while the latter is a facade to mask his own intent. Masking his true self was what he had been doing in 2012 on Earth. He was pretending, acting the villain because, as himself admitted, he had to. There are multiple reasons for it. But now, those reasons are gone, and so is Loki’s facade.

Compartmentalizing his own pain and issues while trying to just manage to stay alive is what Loki does. This is a theme with him. It’s most obvious in the series because we see it all from his perspective now, for the first time.

I’m once again asking you to understand that Loki contains multitudes, and many of those multitudes are contradictory and complicated.

Au where, instead of jazz being the one who helps prowl chill out and relax more, its Prowl who helps Jazz cool down and relax…

Au where, super impulsive, self-destructive head of special ops jazz is just living day to day, putting himself and his team in unnecessary danger because he doesnt trust anyone else to run his ops - a control freak who cant let go of the smallest detail and a method actor who not only spends months mentally preparing himself for insode jobs, but also rewrites processes and memories in his brain just so he can have an edge out in the field.

Then… here comes prowl. A tactician whose Job is to take control of things. At first jazz isnt buying it. Prowl is just in for the long con, he cant be trusted, and if he Can be trusted then theres probably somethibg wrong with his command style if he kept getting transfered until he was right under highcommands noses…

but then… things keep going right?

Prowl does his job diligently and he does it Well. Apparently a supercomputer in the brain makes your logic and decision making trees not only process faster, but more accurately as well.

Yeah prowls a little bit uptight and he goes a little overboard with not eating or sleeping for days on end to finish reports and run sims late into the night, but prowl taking on that responsiboly gives jazz more room to just Breathe.

After just a couple weeks with prowl on the base, jazz starts… calming down.

He hangs out outside of the special ops offices more often. People actually see him out in the halls, just walking around. Jazz begins to listen to music and have his back to the room because prowl is right next to him, and his doorwings twitch at even the slightest movement around then, giving jazz ample time to just… sit and decompress and enjoy life for once. He begins to take prowl dancing, and drinking, and to play games of Hax and Battle Tactics.

Prowl just sort of assumes what most of the fandom assumes - that jazz is getting prowl to let down his guard, but outside of the little prowl/jazz bubble theyre both in, the rest of the base looks on in both profiund confusion and relief as their head of special ops begins to act more like a person, and a friend, and less like a hired assassin that just so happens to be on their side

Mmmmm nice

I hope im not just a blog you follow but also the only person with 100% correct opinions about the little mermaid

Dish those opinions, let’s hear it

My biggest issue is the absolute ice cold take of “Ariel gave up her life/voice for a boy” when the film repeatedly shows Ariel was preyed upon by Ursula. She was exploited and stalked by the literal antagonist of the film into making a really bad decision, especially when Ursula knew Ariel was at her most emotional and the least unable to reach out to her support network.

And the deal Ariel made was meant to be an impossible task that she was tricked into taking AND STILL Ariel was smart enough to almost achieve it if Ursula wasn’t playing dirty and directly interfering in with it all.

Ariel was absolutely a victim of manipulation and circumstance, and people who use this as an irredeemable flaw in her character act like they got big brain energy when their brains are smooth as fuck.

(not to mention she was 16)

Also?

URSULA is the one who says Ariel’s doing it all for the guy.

According to Ariel herself, what she wants is:

—to be where the people are

—to see dancing and walking

—to ask her questions about the human world and get answers

—to not live in the ocean

—to be part of the human world

—to explore the human world

WHERE DOES ERIC COME INTO ANY OF THIS?!

She wants to see a world she isn’t able to see! She wants to have adventures, not a boyfriend! What the hell!

I would argue that she was totally fine with the boyfriend, but Ursula was the one who forced it to be a priority.

AND ANOTHER THING

Her first impression of him is a dude who is both attractive, capable, and willing to jump back on to a burning ship to save his dog.

Later, dude climbs aboard a SHIPWRECK that’s caught in a WHIRLPOOL so that he can RAM IT into a 150-foot-tall MAGIC SEA MONSTER in order to save her.

It’s not like girl was settling.

Ariel is a field anthropologist. That she happened to fall in love with a member of the culture she was studying isn’t exactly a problem.
