Killer Relationship Headcanons

“Massacre Soldier” Killer:

• Killer, despite his name and epithet, catches your attention from how he somehow doesn’t fit in his crew but also fits right in
• You fall for him with his passion. He’s so silent and calm that when anyone brings up his dream or captain, that’s when you see the fire
• There are moments where the two of you just sigh with each other when Kid is going on a rampage
• You want to keep your crush on the down-low but it becomes increasingly harder with the fleeting touches he leaves on you
• It’s small things like he mindlessly straightens a strand in your hair if it’s off or he faces you completely when you speak, but it’s flustering all the same
• There’s a subtlety to Killer when it comes to you. But he knows what he’s doing. Touches that others fear are soft when it comes to you. Short responses turn to discussions that go late into the night. It’s something that happens gradually but you don’t mind
• He’s become your confidant and he would say the same about you. Everyone, other than Kid, can see that he treats you in a special way so they are quick to push their captain out of the room, despite the yelling, so that he doesn’t ruin the moment (even though the two of you have way more moments than they have any idea about)
• Living in denial is where you’re at. You’re quite content with how the relationship you have now because Killer would never see you as you wish he did… right?
• Well, you’re no longer in denial when he slides his mask onto the top of his head and kisses you before you question it
• His love is shown in private. His touches are fleeting in public like he brushes his hand on your waist when moving around you, or squeezing your shoulder in comfort.
• He moves his mask in private and, once he does, you feel how much he trusts you and cares for you
• He treats you with the same loyalty as he does with your captain and it’s present in the late-night talks, where he’ll brush his lips on your face.

WANO SPOILERS

• With the effects of the SMILE fruit plaguing him, once he and Kid find you with the rest of the crew, he avoids you
• He’s beyond happy that you’re okay but he can’t let you see him as he is. No matter how much he wants to scoop you in his arms and never let go, the involuntary laugh that leaves him reminds him of what has become of him and he loses confidence
• He keeps his distance but doesn’t fully push you away so you have to be patient with what he is willing to give you. Stand near him, smile at him, don’t push him to take his mask off. He hates his laugh but, if you treat him as you did when you were shy and had a crush on him, it means more to him than anything.
• Small moments like those not only remind him of your original pining for him but also that maybe you won’t mind what’s happened to him
• It’s a small light when you get to Onigashima and, as you both follow your captain, you feel his pinky interlock with yours
