Personal bias: I can imagine Leon bonding with Eternatus specifically on a deep level because of similar experiences. And only Leon among the in-game Champions (before the MCs come along). It just… doesn’t feel like a good fit between any of the other Champions and (box) Legendaries. Probably because Leon is the most fleshed-out as a character in his base game appearance.
