Thinking about how when you’re a child your mother is Your Mother but when you look back on childhood she is like… a relatively young woman. With a child

Sometimes I look at pictures of my mother with me and/or my siblings when we were tiny, and I get this strange double vision, because that’s Mom. But also that’s a very young woman, younger than my little sister is now, really just starting out in her adult life. But also that’s Mom.
