AKA “THE POST WHERE I JUST RE-WRITE THIS AU SETTING FOR SOME REASON” – PART TWO!!

[READ PART ONE FIRST!!]

The rest of the post will be in a “read more” format to prevent one of my friends who didn’t watch Hunters yet to see the spoilers of the actual canon. But keep it in mind this is an AU and nothing else.

PREVIOUSLY…

We just talked how Daisuke gets into the plot, but then a few things starts getting more and more heated between him and the Xros Heart boys. Especially with Tagiru.

So, on today’s post we will be diving into this clash between them and how they become mentor-mentee.

Daisuke Learns the Truth:

WhileLance (= Daisuke) is too busy investigating the whereabouts of Taichi, a sly fox named Sudou Miho, daughter of his boss, manages to get the gist of him not belonging to this world. Instead of thinking he’s some kind of alien, she just hears Lance venting and rambling about things he expected to not be heard by the others. But this is of course hard for Daisuke to keep cool and pretend to be another person. Bad liar as he is, the only miracle is the fact none of those people know him enough to be unmasked.

However, Miho wants something in exchange: She wants to learn more about other worlds, especially Daisuke’s home world. So she offers to keep an eye on Taiki, Tagiru and Yuu for details and interesting facts of Daisuke’s world.

She kinda keeps bugging him about this, so fine? More help wouldn’t hurt. Also, she gets some detail of a missing person called Taichi. A person from Daisuke’s world. She’s a genius so of course that could be helpful. But he did not want her to get involved with this… At least not when he learns a new information.

Meanwhile, Yuu and Tagiru were pretty much fine at the hunting game. They had great allies stored in their Xros Loaders, and had met a boy with a Dobermon named Hideaki. This kid wasn’t that bad and had some ambition, so he really clicked with Tagiru’s fiery desire to become a superstar.

But, Hideaki wasn’t someone normal here… And then later he just drags Daisuke into the ol’ man’s shop for a talk.
Daisuke learns the reason for the hunting game, also the true identity of Bagramon and Hideaki. With them, some familiar and also humanized faces are seen: Lilithmon, Blastmon and Tacticmon. They all were safer from a total backlash of course, because if Daisuke had known… Yeah.
Anyway, ol’ man is none than Bagramon who had repent from his crimes and decided to work in order to keep things peaceful, and Hideaki was actually his young brother, DarkKnightmon. Both admitted they had done awful things but Shoutmon and Xros Heart taught them a lesson and then they had a change of heart.

Daisuke, who’s pretty much able to see when someone’s good or faking it, believes in their words. Especially because Bagramon had helped him despite his complaints. The reason Daisuke was sent to XW world was because they had no other choice but force a gate and summon him there. To protect him from Quartzmon, the real enemy. Bagramon’s power also transformed the D-3 into a Xros Loader, and the Digimentals into artificial digimon. He was on the good guy’s side now.

“But why me? Why didn’t you save Taichi-san!?”

Bagramon took a time to answer that, and then realizes the reason is because Quartzmon committed a miscalculation there. Quartzmon forgot Taichi’s world had not only one legend hero, but two. And this let Bagramon act quickly to attract Daisuke’s attention as soon as possible. So, in other words, Daisuke is safe by sheer luck, but he could be a trump card against Quartzmon.

V-mon shrugs, and says this is very fitting to happen to them. Daisuke is unable to say if he’s relieved or disappointed that someone forgot he existed.

Bagramon points out that now only him and Taiki are the remaining legends to be captured, and warns him about some concerns of Quartzmon using the legends against them. Daisuke frowns – this is no good.

The Legend Heroes Arrival:

Yuu calls Taiki and Tagiru to talk about his sister Nene’s message. Taiki has no idea where Tagiru was, but he hopes the kid wasn’t in danger. Yuu then introduces Kotone, who’s his and Nene’s baby sister. She’s also a hunter from Europe, where she lives with their mother. Kotone’s partner is Falcomon (2006 design) and they learn Kotone and Nene found, respectively some legend heroes attacking innocent hunters.

Shoutmon has absolutely no idea why, especially because the tales and myths regarding them were about them saving the worlds and protecting innocent lives. This sounds suspicious a lot. Taiki agrees. The Amano siblings also agree with those attacks being strange.

During that conversation, Tagiru and Gumdramon are inside the DigiQuartz making sure no digimon were on rampage or causing fuss… When a familiar silhouette approaches from them. Gumdramon recognizes the kid as one of the legendary heroes. The one called “Heart” by the digimon and the tales. Some very eerie and creepy digimon appeared behind Heart, making Tagiru feel chills down his spine. Gumdramon immedially evolves to Arresterdramon and tried to fight, but he’s badly injured in battle.

Tagiru is mortified, then this legendary hero smirks and pins Tagiru on the floor, removes Tagiru’s goggles and crashes it with his own foot. During that whole nightmare, Tagiru and Gumdramon did not notice the superhuman force and the glowing red eyes. Heart leaves with a maniac laughter, as Tagiru falls on his knees with Gumdramon tossed back to him. The poor boy is in shock to move… And is found by Mysterious Hunter (= Daisuke, the real one), who had a terrible feeling and went to check the DigiQuartz.

Learning from Tagiru that the attacker was someone’s codenamed Heart made Hunter in shock. He takes Tagiru back to the human world and immediatelly goes confront Bagramon. Tagiru, on the other hand, calls Taiki and Yuu to tell them about this.

Bagramon is not amused by having a teenager kicking his door and unleashing the wrath of seven gods on him. Instead, he takes it granted that Quartzmon managed to get some copycat to pretend be Daisuke and perhaps keep the legends unaware of the real truth. Daisuke growls, now he got one more problem to deal with. Bagramon suggests him revealing himself to at least Taiki, and try to form an alliance with Xros Heart to fight the legends.

Fight… Taichi? Could he do that? Ignoring that last part, Daisuke leaves and tries to think how to talk with Taiki without calling attention.

Mysterious Hunter/Lance’s Unmasked:

Though… Taiki already knew. Somehow he knew details Tagiru didn’t. For sure, Lance’s pretty much suspicious and he had seen those orange shades before. Also the fact they never had seen both Hunter and Lance together as well. And, why would he get so close from Tagiru, Yuu and him?

There were no doubts anymore: Lance is Mysterious Hunter.

But there were more. That night when Nene and Kotone reported about attacks from those legends, Shoutmon listed all of them – including Taiki – so they could search for the truth. And then… ‘Goldheart’ surname (?) seemed too suspicious.

Taiki wouldn’t hesitate. If Lance had hurt Tagiru, he will confront him immediately.

Then… he would wait the right moment to ask. Maybe all alone, to not make Yuu and Tagiru jump into action. So he lied about meeting Akari after school, and let Tagiru & Yuu go home. He went to the conbini closer to their school and walked in. Ready to be ambushed, of course.

That… was expected already.

Lance said it wasn’t a good place to talk about it, so he and Taiki went on a walk. In a less crowded area, they started their convo. Taiki then starts wording his thoughts, his hypothesis and theories. Then he makes his conclusion.

Daisuke had heard how Taiki was a brilliant strategist with multiple talents, a quick learner with lots of potential. So he wasn’t surprised, but more like upset. So, this is how things will end for them? Being accused of being a spy?

Not that he’s not a spy though! BUT not for Quartzmon.
He starts revealing what was told him, and trying to attempt to make Taiki join forces with him. And most importantly that there were an imposter on the loose, pretending to be him.

Taiki and Shoutmon are a bit wary, but somehow they believed him.
The problem now is Tagiru, who’s having a BAD time…

Tagiru’s Irrational Episode:

Tagiru himself learned by Yuu about the legends. Gumdramon was already recovered from his injuries and fired up. Now both were willing to give that legendary hero Heart a lesson. But deep down both were afraid, and their illogical theories started to go out of control.

Taiki, who now knows a bit of the truth, tries to be reasonable with Tagiru. Since there’s no logic in the legends attacking innocent people to protect the digimon, Taiki was so convinced in Daisuke’s words at this point. Taiki himself wouldn’t hurt a human or digimon being because of that.

But Tagiru went mad and the rage combined with the fear made him twist Taiki’s words. Now, Tagiru is thinking Taiki is a spy and untrustworthy. Yuu argues Tagiru is going too far, but the other just leaves Yuu’s house. With no idea who he could trust… Tagiru ends up meeting Lance during this walk to cool his head off.

Lance outside is trying so badly to be calm and not spit the beans,  but inside Daisuke was so mad he wanted to punch that faker in the face for hurting one of his current friends. What he never lacked was emotional intelligence, so he ends up calming Tagiru down and trying to make him revaluate Taiki’s position and words. This does a successful effect on Tagiru, who then remembers Taiki never was a villain, so of course the other heroes might not. That there’s something weird happening… And then they have to fight together.

The Legend Heroes Arc:

Now that they got a new goal in mind, Taiki gathers the Xros Heart Blue Flare Alliance all again – with Kiriha coming from America, where he was also having to solve particular cases and such re: DigiQuartz. They’re introduced to this new mission about trying to find the Legends and make them know they were fooled. The one excited for this is Tagiru, for some reason.

Also, Taiki introduces Daisuke to them and makes sure to claim this is the real one. The group get suspicious of course, and when Daisuke is asked why he would help them he just shrugs and says the villain somehow forgot his entire existence. The others decided this was the dumbest way to dodge a bullet. (Kiriha: This idiot is more luckier than Kudou Taiki i see. | Daisuke: WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING “IDIOT”!?)
Also, on a side note, his outfit just changes to this:

image

Yet, for some reasion, he kept the glasses on. Yep.

They start making a plan. And their conclusion was having Taiki infiltrate in the enemy’s territory. Tagiru dislikes that idea so much, but the Alliance was in agreement with it. Daisuke decided to not get involved in this part, but he tried to convince Tagiru to trust Taiki’s skills and abilities. Taiki passes his goggles to Tagiru, as form to cheer him up and to reassure everything will end up well.

Daisuke is touched by that scene, having a flashback playing in his head about the time Taichi entrusted the goggles to him. He whispers something only V-mon heard, which was “This kid is just like who I was. I can’t turn my back on him at all…”

While Taiki is out, he will make sure Tagiru has a good mentor.

Daisuke’s Ridiculous (?!) Dilemma:

Not only Daisuke refused so much the idea of fighting Taichi (he would rather fight anyone else, tho) but he was just there as some babysitter supervisioning the Alliance’s members. Taiki let Kiriha as the leader, and Kiriha himself nominated Nene as the sub-leader. Akari and Zenjirou were involved, and then they mysteriously were given Xros Loaders by the ol’ man. Before Taiki left, he passed Dorumon and Cutemon to Akari, and Ballistamon, Starmon & Pickmonz to Zenjirou.

When asked what Daisuke could do to help, he just… Decided to sit in a corner because he was still clueless about how to evolve V-mon in that world and also without Ken’s help to get Imperialdramon. By what they explained him, that world’s has two ways of evolution – DigiXros, and Super Evolution. Daisuke himself considered DigiXros akin to Jogress, but with multiple digimon. And Super Evolution only looked like regular evolution to him, and this is what he couldn’t figure out. At this point of the story, he’s quite used of DigiXros mechanic. But no idea if he could evolve the artificial armor digimon OR even V-mon. V-mon believed he was just useless and kept inside the Xros Loader all the time, only working as some kind of digimon navigator and detector.

The truth is… Something was blocking Daisuke’s potential, and you know already what was: He was afraid of something.

The Alliance tried to ask him details about Taichi, but as much he gave useful info, he was kinda dodging the idea of them fighting Taichi. Tagiru also understood that feeling – he would pray that they never get to fight Taiki, or fake one. Kiriha is kinda blunt about this, he tries to get into their systems the idea both would prefer them to be stopped than keep causing harm. This brought Daisuke back to the time his group had to fight Taichi’s Agumon in order to save him from the Kaiser’s hands.
As was said that time, “Agumon would prefer them all to fight him than keep under the Kaiser’s control” and this kinda helped.

He’s an idiot. For having to face this one dilemma again. BUT… It’s easier said than done, right?

The Senpai vs Kouhai Tag Battle:

While the others went after the legendary heroes codenamed Knight, Warrior and Fighter… The thought the best was leave Daisuke deal with Taichi with the help of Taiki and Tagiru. It was a bad idea, despite having broken through the initial phase… Daisuke definitely did still NOT want to fight Taichi and solve everything peacefully.

Taiki’s intel helped a lot. His spy skills were pretty much better than Daisuke’s (lol) and he managed to get more and more details about Quartzmon’s plans, and how to accomplish it.
Deep down it lies within the Legendary Heroes’ hidden power and the DigiQuartz: Turning everything into DigiQuartz to connect each world and rule over human and digimon, and those who disobeyed would’ve been absorbed by the DigiQuartz as punishment. But still, he and Shoutmon couldn’t discover who is Quartzmon’s host, or why those other kids were following him. Brainwash, perhaps? This could’ve been applied to the Legendary Heroes as well.

When the moment of a (fake) battle is imminent… Tagiru can pull it pretty well, but once Taichi appears to backup Taiki… Daisuke completely gets hesitant. What if he accidentally kill Taichi in the process? What if Taichi kills him without realizing it? What if someone dies and it haunts either of them for the eternity?!

Taichi, brainwashed as Taiki could predict, tries to attack Daisuke while Taiki faces Tagiru. Daisuke is aware he cannot win against WarGreymon with only Lighdramon and Fladramon, so he resorts to talking. Of course it won’t be easy, try talking to someone who’s brainwashed in the middle of a monster fight.

He tries. But Taichi attacks him. V-mon finally leaves the Xros Loader and forces Daisuke to duck. The digimon does get hurt because he also dodges. Daisuke’s hands are shaking, Taichi was really trying to murder him…!!

It’s when V-mon calls him out and insists they should at least hold WarGreymon in order to talk with Taichi. Daisuke agrees, and he gets up… His Xros Loader’s screen starts to shine, showing a peculiar symbol on it.

On Daisuke’s voice command, V-mon super evolves… to Magnamon.

Magnamon was indeed a miracle falling upon them. The Holy Knight flies into WarGreymon direction and starts the brawl. Instead of attacking, Magnamon tries his best to hold WarGreymon and keep his friend busy. Only to give Daisuke a chance to talk with Taichi.

A brainwashed Taichi stares Daisuke, and tries to also fight him. Now filled with determination, Daisuke manages to hold Taichi’s fist and then, takes the goggles from Taichi’s head. He uses the goggles to bring Taichi’s memories back. After a few minutes trying to make him snap out of that mind control… Taichi stops attacking. same goes to WarGreymon.

Daisuke and Magnamon’s voices had successfully reached them.

The first thing Taichi says after he’s back to normal is…
“Why are you wearing glasses on AND sunglasses on your head?”

[STAY TUNED FOR THE FINAL (?) PART!!]

WELL, WELCOME TO THIS POST WHERE I JUST RE-WRITE THIS AU SETTING FOR SOME REASON – PART ONE!!

As you might be aware, i’ve commented about this setting before and its sad story. Long answer can be seen here: part 1part 2
The short answer is: this was an AU stuff i made back in 2012 as i felt disappointed with Hunters finale. But deep down i did not intend (and still not) it to be a “fix-it” story, but more an AU setting. Like XW anime and XW manga are.

I was also into Super Sentai that time and recently watched Gokaiger (with bad subs, sadly) and keep this in mind.

The rest of the post will be in a “read more” format to prevent one of my friends who didn’t watch Hunters yet to see the spoilers of the actual canon. But keep it in mind this is an AU and nothing else.

The Setting:

XW is one of my favorite Digimon series. And since it aired in 2010 to 2011 (then got extended by Hunters, running from 2011 to 2012 in a short run of 25 episodes) … I’m playing with the famous “the story takes place in the same year it aired” rule here.
XW events are from 2010. Hunters is stated to be a whole year later, so basically 2011.

This AU also goes by it. It takes place in a parallel universe being kinda  “canon divergent” from XW. It also mixes XW manga (more soon).

TaikiandYuu form a basketball group with Tagiru, who was one of the witnesses of Bagramon vs Shoutmon X7 SM battle. This battle, however, had effects not only in Taiki’s world but also other worlds. More about this later.

Tagiru sees Taiki as a savior and someone he wants so much to surpass and become a legend too. But the thing is… Tagiru lacks something. He extremely respects Taiki, but at the same time he wants to show his potential. He wants to be cool too! So beating a strong rival seems cool, no? Though, Taiki is only his mentor, at least in his mind. Their bonds are not that strong but we’re getting there… Tagiru will stop seeing Taiki as his “mentor who i must surpass someday” later.

In the meantime, something happens in the Digital World, and this place, DigiQuartz, is created. The cause of this is unknown, but Shoutmon starts investigating it. However, the villain here has big plans to care than the Digimon King’s researching for this weird connection to the human/real world.

Shoutmon’s Digital World is a little peculiar by the way. In a special area there’s a big mural telling stories of a group of heroes from other worlds, each children in this place had been the main piece of their battles for the peace of their worlds. Such legends and tales were spread through the Digital World. They’re called by “Legendary Heroes” and although their names were never revealed, the digimon from that world codenamed each of them by those stories:

  • The Winged Courage. Codename: Sun
  • The Golden Heart. Codename: Heart
  • The Galant Dreamer. Codename: Knight
  • The Fiery Warrior. Codename: Warrior
  • The Banchou Savior. Codename: Fighter
  • The Red General. Codename: King

Shoutmon and everyone knew Taiki was recently added to that mural and the Xros Heart’s stories were told. But the remaining five’s identities were unknown.
However, the mural had them depicted by how they looked when they saved their respective worlds. No one knows who or what made that mural, it only existed there for a long time ago.

BUT, only three residents of Shoutmon’s DW were fully aware who those legends are – One of them being a parasitic digimon called Quartzmon.

The Story’s Prologue:

Quartzmon actually created the DigiQuartz space, and started kidnapping digimon to try invade the other worlds and fuse them into one. The key is having the power of the Six legends in hands. A mysterious old man wielding a fancy Xros Loader attempts to screw those plans, by selecting children to capture the digimon inside the DigiQuartz and send them back to the Digital World.

But, one of those kids was corrupted by Quartzmon, who took the child’s body and mind. With this, Quartzmon managed to invade Taiki’s world. Without a body, Quartzmon is unable to do much, because it consumes a lot of his power, but having a vessel means… He could open a dimensional gate without burning all of his stamina.

The ol’ man learned too late about this. And then, Quartzmon had gathered a few servants – some children too – and manipulated their minds. His plans has started.
Desperately, the strange elder tried to recruit help from the Legends, but one by one they were disappearing with no trace. Well, except for one.

Daisuke’s (bizarre) advent:

In Taichi’s world, circa 2010… Taichi and Daisuke were ones of the witnesses to catch something weird happening in the horizon, more like at the Rainbow Bridge area. Koushiro asked them to go there and investigate it, but all the senpai-kouhai duo had seen was a normal and functional bridge. No scratches or the big monsters they all had witnessed for a couple of seconds.

A year later of this peculiar event, Taichi vanished without traces. The group had a meeting to discuss and investigate it, Hikari feared he had been sent to the Dark Ocean world, and some wondered if he had disappeared somewhere in the Digital World. Since most of the older six were too busy to help search for him, the mission ended up in the hands of the 02 group.

Everything was fine UNTIL the weird day Daisuke walked into a weird area and forced to fight for his life… Against Apollomon – one of the Death Generals. During that battle, he couldn’t evolve V-mon at all!! Suddenly all his devices had stopped to work, and the D-3 wasn’t working. His phone (unlike Kizuna, this one is a regular model from 2010) and D-terminal were also malfunctioning. Out of the frustration, he and V-mon had no option but try to escape.

Except… This place wasn’t his Digital World anymore. It was actually.. The DigiQuartz.

Once V-mon got tired of running and decided to fight back… Daisuke’s D-3 turned into a new digivice – A Xros Loader with the same color of his original D-3 – but with no idea how to use it and much more questions about this odd battle, V-mon couldn’t win at all. And He’s badly injured by Apollomon.

Then, a human (?!) voice of some old man whispered to Daisuke use that device to recover V-mon’s data and body. And with no hesitation and in total despair… Daisuke does what was told and saves V-mon from death.

Two shadows then manages to get rid of the rampageous Apollomon, and then he meets… the mysterious old man with a Clockmon partner. This man explains things to Daisuke of course, and mentions that Taichi is in this world.

“Wait what!? This world!?”

Daisuke then realizes he ended up crossing the space-time barrier and walked into another world.

The Digimon Hunting Game Arc:

That man kept recruiting children to rescue digimon in the meanwhile, as he worked so hard to protect at least Taiki and Daisuke from this enemy’s hands. Under the pretext of a hunting game, all children around Japan were playing it.

But one particular child was having strange dreams and wasn’t involved with the hunting… yet.
This kid was Tagiru, who you heard previously about. Said dreams were about five shadows with strong digimon wanting him to stop the hunt. Then, he and his digimon were saved by someone with a hood on, and face couldn’t be seen either. Said mysterious person knew his name, and was saying something BUT…

… He never managed to see the end of that dream. The dream was always interrupted by something – alarm clock, or someone/something waking him up.

One day Tagiru accidentally bumped on one of those hunters (Ren) and follows him to the DigiQuartz, where he watches a trio (Ryouma-Airu-Ren) capture a digimon… After this tiny digimon pulled him with his elastic tail to a hidden spot.

Said digimon was Gumdramon, and he immediately clicks with Tagiru. They became friends, but the problem is… Tagiru has no Xros Loader for this, right? It’s only when the trio had vanished that the old man pops in and takes both Tagiru and Gumdramon to his special area. Then, there… A Xros Loader is given to Tagiru. His burning ambition led the device to associate it with the crimson color.

Thus, Tagiru and Gumdramon tries to hunt down digimon. In the heat of their first battle, Gumdramon is almost hurt and Tagiru risks his life to take him out of the MetalTyrannomon’s range. He takes the injured Gumdramon to a safe spot. There, they unlock their Super Evolution.

Gumdramon evolves into Arresterdramon and fights back. They clear the game and hunt their first digimon. At the end of it… Taiki and Yuu appear, with their respective devices. It’s when Tagiru plays dumb about not knowing that. Shoutmon’s voice then makes Gumdramon pretty alarmed and frightened, and the trio of boys learn about the tiny wild dragon being related to Shoutmon.

The other two learns about the hunting game, but Taiki mentions have met an old man telling him to not take part of it. However, he wouldn’t sit there and watch. Once he and Shoutmon are reunited, they take part on leading Tagiru through solving cases of digimon messing with the human world.

And later Yuu gets Damemon back, and since the rule does not apply to him… He joins the game with Tagiru. This new Xros Heart trio start their operations, as some shadows watched them from distance.

The Mysterious Hunter Named Lance:

A good time later, Tagiru and co. end up meeting a new employee at Sudou family’s conbini – yes, the family of Tagiru & Yuu’s classmate, Sudou Miho. The 19-20 year old boy who’s pretty familiar to those who know him, but to those kids he was just a stranger. Lance Goldheart is not a Japanese name of course, but they just assumed it was some nickname or ALIAS name.

And yes, it is an alias… For a special person.
This name was definitely picked by the ol’ man to help a very hopeless Daisuke to not get caught by the enemy. Also to not be hunt by the greedy digimon who would like to beat a legendary hero to get popular and induce fear on weaklings. Or to be added to some bizarre collection from the famous collector called SuperStarmon.

Why “Lance Goldheart”? Easy. It’s a hint for Taiki & Shoutmon, soon or later they would notice it. And then they would make an alliance to save the other kidnapped heroes. Hence “Lance” = the lancer – Daisuke’s role here, and Goldheart = “Golden Heart” & “Heart” – Daisuke’s legendary title and codename.

However, Daisuke himself was ultra against the digimon hunting (because he was not aware of the real reason for it… yet ) and decides to start capturing digimon to keep them safe and to protect them and innocent people affected by it. Then “Mysterious Hunter” has born. V-mon couldn’t evolve and fight, so he stayed inside the Xros Loader. BUT, and mysteriously (lol) the Digimentals of Courage and Friendship were temporarily turned into “artificial digimon”, which means they’re not actually real digimon. So yeah, Daisuke could fight all again alongside Fladramon & Lighdramon, or digixros them with V-mon… But the latter he wasn’t aware of it yet. He still did not understand that digivice.

By Mysterious Hunter, he wears a scarf as face mask and his shades on, with this hood on as well. No one knew it was him since… No one who knew him absurdly well was around – not even the ol’ man or Quartzmon are totally aware of WHO Daisuke truly is. No quirks, personality, etc. Just his story and appearance. That’s all.

Tagiru accidentally finds Hunter during a chase, in which Hunter catches the digimon. Since the dreams never had clear about the person’s face, Tagiru only recognizes him by his clothes. And then the poor Tagiru starts panicking about the dreaming being a prelude to his fall.

MEANWHILE, Taiki, Tagiru and Yuu get along with Lance. He’s a nice and wise (?!) dude after all. But they don’t suspect of Lance actually watching them (and against his will) for that ol’ man (also something Daisuke only agreed to do because he saw something in those kids that reminded him and his friends)

Though when Mysterious Hunter had met Tagiru & co. officially… he was kinda abrasive. Rough around the edges, and Tagiru definitely was hating him so harder and much Hunter was definitely finding Tagiru shallow and annoying (yet, he still would fight for that kid. Like a good parent figure)

Things start getting more and more heated between those four when…

[STAY TUNED FOR PART TWO FOLKS!!]

[Part 2 is here!!]

Tagiru having to deal with two tsun peeps (or three, Gumdramon i mean) is the funniest thing ever.

It had been a while since i drew Yuu huh…
Anyway, i wanted him to be more like his sis… So i gave him a coat like hers in XW arc 1.

Text:

  • Taiki: I know who you are, Mysterious Hunter. Or should I say…
  • Taiki: … Motomiya Daisuke. Were you spying on us?

  • → You can’t fool Taiki!! But, this is all a misunderstanding!!

For some reason i wanted to draw something based on the in-story reveal.
Because as far i remember, the time the fake Daisuke appears in-scene… Daisuke himself comes to talk with Taiki privately to warn him about the faker and the fact those legendary heroes are possibly under control of the real enemy.

So Taiki manages to connect the dots: Lance is Mysterious Hunter who’s actually Daisuke, one of those legends. But the difference here is… Well, how about making Taiki accuse him first? (This wasn’t included in the original story btw)

Daisuke makes clear he’s not the villain, or affiliated to the villain. However he does not mention him working for someone else.

Maybe because Taiki himself wouldn’t have a good reaction to it…? Anyway, fun dramatic doodle with dramatic shading for the nite.

A doodle of Taiki from that AU setting, it’s a soft redesign… i love his design in Hunters so i wanted to make an alt. shirt for him ❤
