LIVE

orzamara:

ever since russia invaded ukraine on feb 24th, anti-war protests have been happening in many russian cities.

unfortunately, freedom of speech is non-existent here and protesting is essentially illegal, and right now the government is trying its best to keep people from speaking up against the invasion — people get arrested, detained and brutalized every day (acab everywhere). there’s a new article in the russian criminal code that makes “discrediting the russian armed forces” punishable by up to 15 years in prison, there have been cases of people getting arrested for holding a blank piece of paper or having blue-and-yellow clothing

there are non-profit organizations such as OVD-infoandApologia (no eng version, use a translator) which offer free legal aid to those detained at the protests and for other forms of anti-war activism

if you want to help, please consider donating to them and/or spreading the information!
