I also wanted to ask you personally if you could tell me more about what Henry’s friendship with Joey is like in this au; like what Henry’s view of his and Joey’s friendship was like, and how Henry currently views Joey as a person. “

omg thank you!!! henrys been super fun to play, im real glad other people have been enjoying it too

also ill preface this with im bad at analyses but well see how it goes! 

i feel like henry’s relationship with joey pROBABLY runs a lil deeper in this au than in canon, due to the fact that they went through mortal peril together and all that. i headcanon henry as aro/ace so while joey is in love with him (and he knows joey is in love with him), but i feel like for henry joey is a lot more like a brother. he cares about him deeply, but tries to keep him at arms length as far as romance goes. joey is intense and possessive, too much for henry to be comfortable with. and honestly? i headcanon that they were in college together and experimented with their sexualities together, which resulted in some weird feelings that linger still. 

as for how he views joey as a person…..he wouldnt admit it bc he wouldnt want it to go to joeys head, but he admires him. hes a dumbass, but he has a drive and sense of self worth and confidence that henry can only dream of. i strongly headcanon that this is why henry gravitated towards joey in the first place, its like a leaf getting caught in a wake from a boat. henry just drifts along, and got pulled in by joeys intensity. it gave him almost like a sense of direction, like he could anchor his own wayward sense of self to the solidity he found in joey

joey is, frankly, far more intelligent than most people give him credit for, and has a sharp eye and a quick tongue. hes just also chaotic, and doesnt always stop to consider that maybe his first impulse is a stupid one, or that the people hes caught in his wake would maybe like to get off mr bones wild ride pls
