#idk what is overkill and what is necessary

Hi do any of my followers know what do when when the forecast says there will be a big storm with “possibly a tornado”

Like do I chill until I see a tornado? Am I supposed to hunker down in the basement the whole afternoon in case one shows up? I have no idea what he proper precautions are, we never get tornadoes

My work space has a bunch of windows and idk if like. I can stay here until I see a spiral of death? Or if I should… move to a windowless room? Or if I have to go to the basement and stay there no matter what?
