Whumper with a power to manipulate other’s dreams and to visit them themselves. 

Caretaker calmly sleeping with Whumpee one night, hugging them and whispering that they’re ok, that Caretaker won’t let anything bad happen to them. 

Meanwhile in Whumpee’s head, in their dreams they’re being tortured, humiliated, literally torn apart and there’s nothing they can do. Just from somewhere they hear echoing, familiar voice, saying “I love you, I will protect you, nothing bad can ever happen to you, I’m here…”.
