it may seem out of character for xander to be sitting in the library with his notes and textbooks neatly set out in front of him while his attention is elsewhere… but as different as the dark wizard seems to be from people even he needs a mental break from time to time. a few rounds of among us with some of his friends and acquaintances is one of the few things he finds himself enjoying when he needs to rest his eyes from endless rows of text.

when he had first been introduced to the game through milo and levi, it took a bit of convincing for him to see the entertainment in it. the gameplay seemed so tame with completing tasks and trying to pick out the impostors and whatnot… it was pretty boring especially with the ways no one ever seemed to have a brain when it came to discussing. however, as soon as xander had gotten a taste of being the impostor all the tables turned. for one, he never was one to play by the rules and the game became like a second playground to him. chasing others randomly, leaving bodies unreported and better yet, getting the impostors to win when he wasn’t impostor. it was fun seeing everyone panic over the things he did.

today doesn’t seem to be an exception for those being brainless. xander sighs as he stares at his screen without as much of an expression to give away what he’s thinking or feeling. it’s not much different from the usual look he carries when he’s alone and uninterested in what’s happening around him but he’s actually very interested in the little device in his hands. along with the face that all he can think about is how everyone is an idiot.

as the chat flashes on the screen in who is being suspiciousxander can’t help looking up across the room where callie is sitting a table away, typing in her own inquiries. half the group is accusing ethan and he simply sends his reasoning back. xander on the other hand remains silent like he usually does, letting the chaos unfold by itself unless if he’s witnessed something interesting enough to turn everyone on each other.

if anything, xander is curious about if callie is the impostor or not. it seems the suseong female always gets the role but no one ever assumes it’s her. so, xander takes another glance up just in time to catch her looking at him as well and a small grin spreads across his lips.
